Finline Or Traditional? We Ink What You Say

At our Tattoo studio, we respect your individuality and are committed to inking what you say. Whether you lean towards the refined elegance of fine line tattoos or the bold, vibrant strokes of traditional styles, our tattoo artists are here to create a masterpiece that perfectly reflects your unique style and personality.

Fine line tattoos in Auckland are celebrated for their precision and subtlety. This style utilises ultra-thin needles to create detailed, delicate designs that often resemble fine drawings or engravings, such as realistic portrayals, minimalist art, or complex geometric patterns. However, the technical delicacy required for fine line tattooing demands a steady hand and a deep understanding of skin anatomy to ensure the lines remain crisp, clear, and distinct over time.

Traditional tattoos, on the other hand, are known for their bold lines, vibrant colours, and iconic designs like hearts, roses, and anchors. This style relies on thicker outlines and a limited colour palette to create high-contrast, visually striking tattoos that stand the test of time. Traditional tattooing requires the art of solid colour filling and clean, confident line work to achieve the style’s signature look.

An error in each tattooing style can lead to complications, which is why our artists are trained to work with the utmost attention to detail so that every line and shade contributes to a perfect, enduring work of art that also heals properly.

Booking Policy At Artero Tattoo Parlour Birkenhead

If you're considering us for your next tattoo North Shore, here’s what you need to know about our booking policy. By booking with us, you acknowledge and agree to these terms to ensure exceptional service and an unforgettable tattoo experience.

  • A minimum deposit of $100 or 20% of the estimated tattoo cost (whichever is greater) is required to reserve your spot at our tattoo parlour in Auckland.
  • We do not refund or transfer deposits. This policy is in place to compensate for the time and resources allocated to preparing for your session.
  • If you need to change, move, or postpone your booking, we kindly request at least 72 hours notice. You can adjust your appointment up to two times within this notice period without forfeiting your deposit.
  • For missed appointments without proper notice, a charge will be incurred, and you will need to place another deposit for future bookings.
  • We take legal and ethical responsibilities seriously. All clients must be at least 18 years old to receive a tattoo, with no exceptions.
  • A valid ID is mandatory for getting tattooed. No ID means no tattoo, as we adhere strictly to this policy to ensure compliance with legal age requirements.

Can I bring my own design?

Absolutely! We love working with client-provided designs or collaborating to refine your ideas into tattoo-ready art. Our artists are not only friendly but also excellent listeners. They carefully consider your ideas and create the exact art you have envisioned.

What are your health and safety practices?

Your safety is our top priority. We adhere to stringent hygiene and sterilisation standards, using single-use needles and ensuring our workspace is immaculately clean.

Do you provide consultation before having a tattoo?

Yes, we certainly provide consultations before proceeding with a tattoo. This is especially helpful if you want to discuss your design ideas in detail or if you're new to tattooing in Auckland and curious about different techniques. During the consultation, our artists will listen to your thoughts, guide you through the process, and provide genuine advice to ensure you have the best tattoo experience possible.
